Santorini, Greece
Two boys enjoy the view of the Aegean Ocean and sunshine on top of a building in the cliffside town of Oia on the Greek island of Santorini. The upscale resort town of Oia is popular with thousands of cruise ship passengers who visit every day to shop, watch the sunset and enjoy the views. The town is built into the side of a cliff hundreds of feet above the water.

The tholos of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia is a masterpiece of classical architecture, but its purpose is unknown. The tholos is across the road from the more concentrated groups of sites at Delphi, but is considered part of Delphi. The surviving sculptures are housed at the Delphi Archeology Museum.
